Our Farm
We raise our cattle with care and respect, producing high-quality beef that’s wholesome, safe, and something we’re proud to serve our own family.
Our cattle are fed a balanced diet of locally grown corn, locally sourced protein, and high-quality hay raised right here on our farm.
We do not use growth implants or added hormones, and we never use antibiotics routinely. If an animal becomes sick, we treat it responsibly — because animal health and welfare always come first.

Farming has been part of our family since the mid-1960s. Through seasons of prosperity and challenge, we’ve worked to be good stewards of the land, responsible business owners, and neighbors our community can count on.
Our journey into raising livestock began in the mid-1990s with small fair projects that gradually grew into a passion for producing high-quality beef the right way. Over the years, that commitment has grown from a few animals for family and friends into what is now North Star Meats.
Today, with modern technology and decades of hands-on experience, we’re proud to share our product, our story, and our farm with the wider community.

We used to buy all of our beef from the local grocery store but I will say ever since we have started stocking our freezer with North Star Meats, I've become a meat snob! Whether it is a juicy burger with a side of freshly picked sweet corn or a delicious grilled ribeye, we are never disappointed! It is good to know where your meat comes from. And it is always so nice to always know our freezer is full with whatever we need for dinner!
